Hello my name is Jack. In 2006 I set off on a cross country life altering trip on my bicycle. The purpose was to better myself as a human, help others, and grow closer to God.

The trip was awesome. I began my trip in Tampa, Fl and continued to the coast of Oregon. From there I went to San Francisco and then back home to Little Rock Arkansas. In all, I rode 5645 miles on a bicycle.

It took me six and a half months. I left April 19, 2006 from Tampa, and arrived back in Little Rock on October 31st 2006. Along the way, I had to stop and work to make money to fund my adventure. I also received countless donations from people with huge hearts.

I cycled over some of the most beautiful country these eyes have ever seen. The most memorable parts are Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Death Valley National Park, Idaho, Oregon, and Hwy 101 on the west coast.

During my trip, I would camp out the majority of the time, but I also stayed in: hotels, homeless shelters, churches, friend’s houses, and even strangers house. I helped people in need, and people helped me.

You learn a lot about yourself, life, other people, and learn to trust in God when you are out there by yourself. I learn to turn to God for my every need, because without him I would not have survived my trip. There were many obvious times when God was right there beside me.

Eventually, I would like to make another trek. When? Who knows. Right know I have to focus on my future in life. One day God will allow me to do it again.

I like to thank everybody out there that kept up with me along the way. Your donations and your prayers helped me make it! Lastly, I would like to thank God for keeping me safe and having the experience of a lifetime.
